Insightful Eyes with Chan Minds – Intermediate Outdoor Photography Course, Autumn 2026

This course is designed for participants who already have basic photography knowledge and camera skills. This course will further strengthen your command of composition, aesthetics, and more advanced techniques.

【Instructor】: Jean Li – Getty Images artist and contract photographer for Dharma Drum Mountain Publisher. Li is the recipient of multiple awards in the International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) competition in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Weekday Classes
【Dates】 8/6, 8/20, 9/3, 9/17, 10/8, 10/22, 11/5, 11/12（Thursdays）
【Time】 10:00 – 11:30 am. Eight classes in total.
【Equipment】No specific requirements. Please bring whatever camera and photography gear you normally use.
【Location】Indoor classes will be held at the Dharma Drum Mountain Silicon Valley Center (Cupertino). The location for outdoor classes will be announced during the week of the class.
【Fee】US$160. All class fees will be donated to the Dharma Drum Mountain San Francisco Bay Area Center’s Building Fund (donation receipts are available).

Saturday classes
【Dates】 8/22, 9/19, 10/24, 11/14
【Time/format】Each day is a full day class from 10 am to 3 pm (outdoor shooting in the morning, indoor instruction in the afternoon)
【Equipment】 Digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera. Please bring your own DSLR camera to class.
