One-day Chan Meditation Retreat (All Levels, Lunch Provided)

The effects of Chan (Chinese Zen) meditation are many.  This is a rare opportunity for you to shift into higher gear to deepen your practice of Chan following the guidance of a very experienced Chan teacher.
 
Schedule (subject to variation at teacher’s discretion)
8:40 am - 9:00 am: Check-in
9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Moving Meditation, Introduction, Sitting Meditation, Mindful Yoga, Dharma Talk 
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunch
1:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Dharma Talk, Sitting and Walking Meditation, Mindful Yoga
4:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Q&A
 
Remarks:
No late check-ins.
* During the retreat, we observe noble silence.  Smoking, drinking alcohol, reading, making notes, using cell phones and electronic recordings are prohibited.  
* To conserve and reduce waste, please bring your own water bottle, dish and utensils.  
* Donations are welcome.  
 
About our Dharma/Chan Teacher: Gilbert Gutierrez is an attorney practicing in Riverside, California.  He has over forty years of meditation experience, which includes his study of various martial arts as well as Chi Gong.  Gilbert received Dharma transmission from Master Sheng Yen in 2002, and is the only western lineage holder residing in the United States.  He is the founder and teacher for the Riverside Chan Meditation Group (www.riversidechan.org).
