The Vimalakīrti Sūtra is a Mahayana classic that is part novel and part drama. It presents an exemplary lay practitioner who expounds non-duality and follows the Bodhisattva path in this Saha world.

Let us learn together from our teacher, Master Sheng Yen, how to apply the teachings of the Vimalakīrti Sūtra to our daily lives through six interconnected aspects, including caring for society, cultivating both virtues and wisdom, purifying our lives, protecting our spiritual environment, practicing loving-kindness, compassion, joy in others’ happiness, and equanimity, and building a Pure Land in the human world—so that we ourselves may become modern Vimalakīrti lay practitioners.
