Visit to Buddhist Church of San Francisco (Japanese Tradition)

Guo Xing Fa Shi & Chang Hwa Fa Shi from Chan Meditation Center in NY visited Buddhist Church of San Francisco at 2pm on 9/10/15 and had a very pleasant stay for a couple of hours.  This was an effort to reach out to other religious organizations and establish common goals to serve the people in the bay area.

Tri-City Youth Chorus

Niles Discovery Church is excited to announce the beginning of the new Tri-City Youth Chorus. Starting in September, the program welcome children, grades 5 to 8, to experience and share in a lifetime adventure in music.

Typhoon Halyan Report

On November 2nd, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan caused extensive damages in many parts of Philippines. Right after the disaster, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association North America Disaster Relief Group (DDMBA-NA DRG) started its effort to work on the relief fund.  

Hurricane Sandy Report

Immediately after the disastrous Hurricane Sandy hit the eastern states of United States on October 29th, 2012, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association (DDMBA) North America Charitable Foundation initiated a fundraising event to benefit the people and families displaced by the hurricane.  By the end of February, 2013, DDMBA has raised a total of about US $7,400 which was donated to Food Bank for New York City.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

Immediately after the disastrous Haiti earthquake in 2010, Dharma Drum Mountain Buddhist Association (DDMBA) North America Charitable Foundation initiated caring efforts by providing sanitary supplies and cleaning equipment to the affected areas.  To further assist Haiti recovers from the disaster, DDMBA also actively searched medical equipment needed by Haiti’s local hospitals.  All the required medical equipment was purchased after one year of search.
