One-Day Meditation Retreat

Relax and Calm Your Body & Mind
 
This is an opportunity to deepen your practice.  You will have the chance to experience Chan within the course of one full day, learning how to apply methods while sitting, walking, exercising, eating, and throughout all activities.
 
 
Schedule (subject to variation at teacher’s discretion)
 
8:40 am - 9:00 am: Check-in
9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Eight-form Moving Meditation, Introduction, Sitting Meditation, Mindful Yoga, Dharma Talk 
12:00 pm - 13:15 pm: Lunch
13:15 pm - 16:30 pm: Dharma Talk, Sitting and Walking Meditation, Mindful Yoga
16:30 pm - 17:00 pm: Q&A

*  Please wear comfortable and loose clothing
*  Experienced meditators, beginners and walks-ins are all welcome.

About our Dharma/Chan Teacher: Born in the township of Hualien, Taiwan, Venerable Chang Xing entered the Dharma Drum Mountain Seminary in 2002, and received his full ordination in 2004.  After his graduation in 2006, he had served as Director & Counselor, Youth Department, Director, Department of Monks Affairs, and Student Counselor in Seminary. He became the Director, Dharma Drum Mountain Retreat Center (DDRC) in Pine Bush, New York in 2016, managing the center, programs and leading retreats.  As of January, 2017, Venerable Chang Xing has served as the Director of Dharma Drum Mountain San Francisco Chapter.  
 
Venerable Chang Xing has a deep interest in  the history of Chinese Buddhism, the Method of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Practice, and the Agama sutras.  He speaks English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.
