Practice!  Practice!  Practice!  This will be another opportunity to deepen your practice following the guidance of a very experienced Chan teacher.
 
Practicing diligently and consistently, we develop the skill of self-realization. We reflect instead of react.  Peace and calmness become the constant force in our life.  The ultimate goal of Chan practice is to personally realize true freedom within our original nature and to know the depth of our connectedness with others. This is the wisdom and compassion of Chan. 
 
Schedule (subject to variation at teacher’s discretion)
8:40 am - 9:00 am: Check-in
9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Eight-form Moving Meditation, Introduction, Sitting Meditation, Mindful Yoga, Dharma Talk 
12:00 pm - 13:15 pm: Lunch
13:15 pm - 16:30 pm: Dharma Talk, Sitting and Walking Meditation, Mindful Yoga
16:30 pm - 17:00 pm: Q&A
 
 
1.  Pre-requisite:  some experience or completion of meditation workshops
2.  No late check-ins.  
3.  During the retreat, we observe noble silence. Smoking, drinking alcohol, reading, making notes, using cell phones and electronic recordings are also prohibited.

About our Dharma/Chan Teacher: Venerable Chang Wu is a Buddhist monastic in the Chan (Zen) tradition.  She is currently the Director of Dharma Drum Vancouver Center, a monastery in Richmond, BC, Canada.  For almost 15 years, she has been teaching classes in Buddhist philosophy and meditation to people of widely different backgrounds and age groups. Ven. Chang Wu also leads meditation retreats for more advanced practitioners, and has played an active role in organizing and contributing to scholarly conferences and interfaith dialogue around the world.
